The
32nd National All Martial Arts Championship was held on
May 6, 2006. It was the most exciting event so far this
year for all members of the C. S. Kim Karate schools and
the traditional martial arts community. This annual event
highlighted 1170 national and international competitors
from all styles of martial arts competing in forms, sparring,
breaking and weapons. Over 1200 trophies were awarded to
the winners in their respective divisions.
This
year in addition to all divisions last year, we werehappy
to add a special division for Japanese styles in forms competition.
Black belts who placed first in their division were eligible
to compete for Grand Champion as appropriate.
The
traditional opening ceremony featured an inspiring speech
by Choong Jae Nim Master C. S. Kim thanking all of the participants
for their attendance. Choong Jae Nim C. S. Kim also gave
words of wisdom to all in attendance as he emphasized the
importance of demonstrating a positive mental attitude and
professional discipline by their actions and attitude.

is a perfect example of the spirit and dedication to excellence
in the martial arts. Having trained over 33 years, he has
